Forklift Operator - 1st Shift

Shift & Pay

• Shift: 1st Shift – Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Pay: Starts at $18.50/HR, based on experience
• Eligible for overtime pay
• Weekly pay
• Direct deposit
• Up to a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 180 days of full-time employment

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety inspection of forklift before operating
• Take proper safety and precautionary measures when operating machinery
• Support essential logistic operations through storage and transportation
• Notify technicians in advance when forklifts are in need of service
• Perform work under direct supervision with a basic understanding of equipment
• Handle basic issues and problems; refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
• Operate hand-held scanner and stretch-wrap machine
• Comply with all company safety guidelines and procedures
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Perform other duties assigned by manager/supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Good communication skills (listening, verbal, and written)
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic mathematical concepts
• Must have or be able to receive a license to operate a forklift
• Two years of forklift and RF scanner experience is preferred
• Willingness and ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
• Must be willing to submit to a background check, employment verification, and drug screen
