Forklift Operator $19.50 per hour Sun-Thurs 1st shift

Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Forklift Operator to start with their team in Roseburg, OR. The position involves operating forklifts, using radio frequency scanners, moving stock, signing out forklifts after safety checklists, reporting unsafe conditions, stacking products, and loading/unloading trucks.

Qualifications

• Ability to successfully complete forklift certification process
• Reading comprehension skills up to high school level
• Writing skills up to high school level
• Maintain math skills - basic arithmetic, addition, subtraction
• Attention to detail
• Work safely and adhere to safety guidelines in a warehouse environment
• Perform repetitive manual tasks
• Work independently or in a group environment
• Be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demands
• Meet and maintain production standards
• Maintain reasonably reliable attendance
• Read, write, speak, hear, see, think, communicate, concentrate, learn, and work

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to operate forklift and use radio frequency scanner
• Ability to stack product physically onto and off of pallets repetitively
• Ability to load and unload trucks

Education and Experience

• Certification as a forklift operator or ability to be certified
• 1 year work experience in at least one previous job
• 6 months work experience which included walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, typing/keyboard

Essential Physical Demands

• Ability to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shift
• Ability to pass physical examination that includes testing for satisfactory vision (distance, peripheral, and depth perception) and hearing for safe operation of motorized equipment
• Ability to escalate up to 25 feet in height on equipment
• Ability to lift/carry in full range of motion up to 50lbs frequently during the assigned shift – 0-35lbs frequently and 36-75lbs occasionally
• Ability to grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shift
• Ability to bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, climb, crawl, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift
• Ability to work designated shift including overtime as required, which could include time before or after the designated shift and/or weekends
• Exposure to wide range of temperatures
