About the role
Unload the stacker outfeed chains in the planer mill and haul the packages to lumber sheds for storage.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain a forklift license
- Safely operate a forklift
- Complete the daily checklist on equipment according to the Mobile Equipment Procedure
- Keep lumber cleared off the planer outfeed chains to maintain production flow
- Haul lumber safely to dry storage sheds and stack by product, grade, and length
- Keep re-entry deck filled with reman to be processed during planer mill downtime
- Stock the strapper with dunnage
- Stock the stacker with lathe strips
- Perform general housekeeping duties as needed
- Empty waste hoppers when time permits
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Forklift license
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to make decisions quickly
Pay
$25.68 per hour
