Forklift Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Forklift Mechanic at their Wheeling, IL Service Center. This position offers competitive compensation up to $42.48 per hour, full-time Monday-Friday shifts, and an excellent benefits package including employee resorts.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild, repair, and maintain forklifts, pallet jacks, and hydraulic lifts
• Other duties as required by management

Requirements

• A clean driving record for the past 5 years
• 3 years of experience with the repair/maintenance of industrial fork trucks
• Electric & manual pallet jack repair/maintenance experience
• Aerial lift repair/maintenance experience (a plus)
• Ability to use a computer for creating repair work orders
• Own tools on site (company will provide specialized tools)
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs
• Fast-paced work environment and self-motivation skills

Qualifications

Must have your own tools on site. The company will provide specialized tools.
