Forklift Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking Forklift Mechanics at their New Orleans, LA Service Center. The position offers competitive pay up to $37.60 per hour, full-time Monday-Friday shifts, and 1 week of vacation after 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild, repair, and maintain forklifts, pallet jacks, and hydraulic lifts.
• Other duties as required by management.

Requirements

• A clean driving record for the past 5 years.
• 3 years of experience with the repair/maintenance of industrial fork trucks.
• Electric & manual pallet jack repair/maintenance experience.
• Aerial lift repair/maintenance experience (a plus).
• Ability to use a computer for various tasks including creating repair work orders.
• Own tools on site; company provides specialized tools.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Fast-paced work environment and self-motivation skills.

Qualifications

Must be able to lift up to 125 lbs.
