We manufacture advanced memory foam mattresses that help you sleep cooler and more comfortably through the night so that you wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on whatever the day throws at you. Job Summary - the Forklift Mechanic is responsible for keeping forklifts and material-handling equipment safe, reliable, and available for use by performing preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and general repairs on various types of forklifts. Pay Range: $30-35/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–6:00 PM Essential Duties And Responsibilities Identify vendors for parts, place orders and verify receipt of materials.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Control repair costs by utilizing warranties and evaluating service and parts options.Maintain adequate inventory of parts and supplies.Diagnose and perform electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and general repairs on forklifts.Perform preventive maintenance according to manufacturer specifications and company requirements.Inspect hydraulic fluid levels, tire condition and pressure, forks, steering, brakes, drive controls, and other critical components.Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and identify worn, damaged, or defective parts.Install replacement parts, components, and equipment upgrades.Perform diagnostic tests and test drives to verify equipment performance and make necessary adjustments.Maintain equipment in clean and presentable condition, including cleaning, washing, and painting as needed.Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.Follow all applicable safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and forklift systems.Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems effectively.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Good time management and organizational skills.Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within established deadlines.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Professional and effective communication skills Required Education and Experience: Forklift maintenance or other related certification 5+ years of experience doing advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting difficult electrical/hydraulic problems, and working independently Physical Requirements: Very Heavy work: Lifting up to 50 pounds constantly on your own & up to 100 pounds via team lift frequently during a 10-hour shift.Standing: To remain on one’s feet in an upright position on and off during a 10-hour shift with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break.Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.Stooping: Bending the body forward and down while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below waist level or down towards an object on or near the ground.Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.Vision: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work, and to visually inspect machinery being used.Temperature: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions, but, must be able to adapt to cold or hot temperatures.
