Forklift Driver (Shift: 6am - 2:30pm)

About the Role

To perform this job successfully, the forklift driver must be able to operate an electrical power industrial truck or liquid propane gas (LPG) sit-down or stand-up forklift with lifting devices. The forklift driver must also understand receiving, loading, and material handling after training.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift by positioning forks on the lifting platform, load pallets, skids, boxes, products, and transport/stock to designated locations.
• Follow the company safety policy and procedure to operate the forklift to support production.
• Inspect and monitor the forklift performance to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Receive shipments, unload shipments, verify shipments, sort and separate goods, log goods received, post goods received, tag pallets, and move goods into designated locations.
• Check and record stock movement documents such as packing lists and delivery notes.
• Perform inventory count.
• Load and unload material, pallets, boxes, and drums onto/off trucks/containers.
• Perform internal housekeeping, including changing batteries, recharging batteries, and cleaning the working area, forklift, and parking lot.
• Dispose of trash in the trash container and clean up the surrounding area.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three months of forklift operating experience in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
