Forklift Driver (2nd Shift)

Join Famous Footwear’s Distribution Center in Lebanon, TN as an Order Picker on 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Assures property safety procedures are followed.
• Assures compliance of company policies at all times.
• Maintains facilities; Housekeeping - 5S
• Achieves high quality standards in performance of operational processes.
• Completes daily operations efficiently with daily goals accomplished.
• Maintains a high attention to detail.
• Packs cartons in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Ensures the correct shipping label is applied to the outbound carton.
• Performs quality assurance activities as required.
• Performs value add activities as required.
• Assists in resolving operational issues.
• Communicates operational errors to supervisors.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and implements as best practices.
• Adopts and supports changes in policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment and supply stocks.
• Performs 5 S Audit as requested.
• Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Absorbs and applies new order processing technology.
• Assists in other areas of the operation.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Operates equipment as required by functional work area.
• (for example- Carton erector)
• Works at a steady pace and with a sense of urgency.
• May be required to work at heights, such as mezzanines, order pickers, and use ladders.
• Remains calm and effective in high-pressure situations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years’ warehouse and forklift experience preferred
• Experience using RF devices preferred
• Must be able to safely operate an Order Picker
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without an accommodation
• Experience with Crown equipment a plus
• Able to be on feet for the entire shift
• Must be willing to learn and be able to show proficiency on different types of PIT equipment as business needs dictate
• Must be capable of performing basic math
