This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division. What You’ll Work On

  • Carefully coordinate the timely and accurate movement of materials from warehouse inventory to designated areas.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate movement of finished products to support customer shipments and other destinations.
  • Use a forklift to load and unload materials.
  • Operate a Cambar radio frequency inventory system to store, pick, or assemble finished products for shipment.
  • Understand and correctly use ship orders and associated warehouse paperwork and RF terminals for shipping/receiving finished products.
  • Maintain a first-in-first-out (FIFO) flow of finished products, including operating a forklift truck with a push-pull attachment (reach forklift).
  • Store, pick, or assemble finished goods within the warehouse, verifying item numbers, quantities, release statuses, and lot numbers.
  • Check materials against packaging lists, invoices, freight bills, or other relevant documentation to ensure conformity and accuracy.
  • Utilize knowledge of finished product nomenclature and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and the finished goods warehouse.
  • Keep accurate records and reconcile inventory errors.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management to meet the needs of the business.

Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred.

Pay

The base pay for this position is $17.15 – $34.25 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
