Position Overview
Primary Responsibilities
- Moves boats using tractors, trucks and marina forklifts.
- Aids in launching and racking boats.
- Transports trailered boats using pick-up trucks to other locations.
- Completes daily inspections of all equipment.
- Remains updated on OSHA and company guidelines and ensures they are being followed at the Yard.
- Keeps up to date on all heavy marina equipment certifications.
- Reports all equipment damages, accidents, and problems to the Yard Manager.
- Updates boat locations in SpeedyDock.
- Keeps Yard equipment and vehicles clean, neat and organized.
- Maintains and upholds shop equipment including trailers, trucks, jack stands, wash stands.
- Aids with snow removal around storage buildings, boats, and walkways in the Winter season.
- Adheres to closing procedures including locking up access to buildings, storage facilities and equipment.
- Other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using heavy equipment.
- Valid Driver’s license, required.
- Clean driving record, required.
- Experience using SpeedyDock, preferred.
- Marina Forklift experience, preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Thrives in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
Education, Licensing & Skills
- Minimum of High School degree or equivalent.
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday + Weekends. (5 days per week)
- Monday-Friday in off-peak season
