Forklift and Yard Crew

Position Overview

The Yard Crew and Forklift Operator will report to the Yard Manager and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Yard. In this position, you will be part of a team that plays a critical role in the seamless service we provide to the customers of our marina.

Primary Responsibilities

• Move boats using tractors, trucks and marina forklifts.
• Absorb assistance in launching and racking boats.
• Transport trailered boats using pick-up trucks to other locations.
• Complete daily inspections of all equipment.
• Remain up to date on OSHA and company guidelines and ensure they are being followed at the Yard.
• Report all equipment damages, accidents, and problems to the Yard Manager.
• Update boat locations in SpeedyDock.
• Keep Yard equipment and vehicles clean, neat and organized.
• Maintain and upkeep shop equipment including trailers, trucks, jack stands, wash stands.
• Assist with snow removal around storage buildings, boats, and walkways in the Winter season.
• Adhere to closing procedures including locking up access to buildings, storage facilities and equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience using heavy equipment.
• Valid Driver’s license, required.
• Clean driving record, required.
• Experience using SpeedyDock, preferred.
• Marina Forklift experience, preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Thrives in a team environment.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
