Forge Press Operator

Responsibilities

• Maintaining all equipment needed for forging operation.
• Operating press & manipulators, remote crane, and forge furnaces.
• Reviewing and verifying forging assignments, ingots scheduled to strip, and movements of ingots/forgings between furnace and forge press.
• Maintaining the startup and shutdown of the forge press and manipulators.
• Making forging sticks and hot cutting forgings.
• Reporting all deviations from production specifications, equipment problems, and issues.
• Performing other department duties, as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

• Must be capable of lifting 60-80lbs occasionally throughout shift.
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes.
• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous foundry experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and use a tape measure/ruler.
• Good math skills are necessary.
• Strong attention to detail is required.
• Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Pay

• Competitive wages starting at $24.20/hr with potential for higher compensation based on experience and skills.

Schedule

• This position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program.
