PreSentence ReEntry Coordinator with Aurora Mental Health & Recovery’s Jail-Based Behavioral Health Services ( located at the Arapahoe County Jail.

About the role

Work directly with individuals involved in the criminal justice system who are experiencing substance use disorders or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, with a special focus on high jail utilizers. Provide outpatient therapeutic support, develop recovery and reentry plans that align with justice system requirements, and help individuals build the skills, insight, and resources needed for long-term success. Responsibilities

• Perform behavioral health and substance use screening.
• Perform brief mental health and substance use interventions.
• Assist inmates with transitional resources.
• Facilitate referrals to behavioral health providers at discharge from jail.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Serve as liaison between jail, mental health center, and community providers.
• Enter data into JBBS database.
• Provide case management as needed; instruct clients in daily living skills.
• Conduct individual and group therapy.
• Accurately document interactions in EMR promptly.
• Attend criminal justice, medical, and other appointments with clients as needed.
• Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client's care team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or CAC II.
• Preferred: Master's Degree and/or CAC III or LAC; license eligible at Masters level in a Mental Health discipline and/or licensed as a LAC.
• Strong interest in working in the Mental Health arena.
• Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Basic understanding and ability to work with differing behavioral health presentations.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: Bilingual.

Schedule

This position is fully onsite/in-person. Sunday - Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM.

Pay

Starting wage is based on experience and company equity. Paid bi-weekly. $21.46 - $32.19 per hour.

Bilingual Language Differential Pay: Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive a fixed amount of $3,000 per calendar year, paid bi-weekly across 26 pay periods, and prorated based on hire date and full-time equivalency (FTE).
