Forensics - Insurance and Federal Claims Services - Grants - Senior Manager
About the role
EY's Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice specializes in helping clients achieve their financial recovery goals following disaster events such as hurricanes, fires, tornadoes, and pandemics. This team offers grants management, compliance, and insurance claims services to some of the most complex and prestigious public and private sector entities.
Responsibilities
- Lead engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with a variety of services associated with the management and compliance of disaster recovery funding made available through complex grant and stimulus programs (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR, ARPA).
- Manage large projects for states and local governments, develop client relationships, develop and implement engagement processes, work with stakeholders to resolve complex compliance issues, and manage teams who undertake the monitoring of federally funded projects.
- Leverage your technical, managerial, and leadership skills to resolve clients' needs from the front lines.
- Lead business and practice development initiatives.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, law, finance, business or related field.
- 9+ years’ related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery and/or emergency management experience, ideally with a government agency or professional services firm.
- Possess a professional designation, such as CPA, CFE, or CEM.
- Excellent project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the confidence to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
- A quantifiable history of business development success.

Qualifications
- A relevant FEMA, disaster management or insurance related experience, preferably within a professional services firm.

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $134,000 to $305,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $160,800 to $347,700.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
