Forensics - Insurance and Federal Claims Services - Grants - Manager
About the role
EY's Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice specializes in helping clients achieve their financial recovery goals following disaster events. This team offers grants management, compliance, and insurance claims services to public and private sector entities.
Responsibilities
- Work with engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with a variety of services associated with the management and compliance of disaster recovery funding.
- Manage large projects for states and local governments.
- Develop client relationships and lead interactions with local governments to support project development.
- Verify numerous aspects of compliance including transaction testing and programmatic requirements.
- Manage teams who undertake monitoring of federally funded projects.
- Resolve clients' needs from the front lines.
- Work with EY professionals across different solutions on business development initiatives.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, emergency management or related field.
- 5+ years related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery and/or emergency management experience, ideally with a government agency or professional services firm.
- Achieved a professional designation, such as CPA, CFE, or CEM.
- Relevant disaster management experience, preferably within a professional services firm.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the confidence to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $104,800 to $192,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $125,700 to $218,500.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
