Forensic Nurse Examiner

About the role

This position is located at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center in Columbia, MD. It is a casual/on call employment type with rotating shift schedules of either 3 (12-hour) shifts or 4 (8-hour) shifts every 4 weeks, including 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist in the coordination of patient care activities.
• Participate in ongoing education and training programs to maintain competency in clinical skills.

Requirements

• Current Maryland RN license.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Skills

• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
