Forensic Nurse Examiner

About the role

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients and families with expertise in forensic health care, trauma, and death investigations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient services
• Collaborate with medical, nursing, community, and law enforcement agencies
• Offer consultation on forensic cases and investigative processes
• Provide expert testimony
• Establish and maintain clinical standards
• Support program operations
• Collaborate with the FNE Program Coordinator to ensure effective forensic nursing services

Requirements

• Completion of FNE/SANE education meeting North Carolina standards
• Current RN licensure
• SANE certification
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Master’s in Nursing
• National certification
