About the role

The Foreman Tower Technician provides leadership and hands-on support for telecommunications and construction projects in the field. This position is responsible for coordinating daily job site activities, ensuring safety compliance, directing field crews, and maintaining project schedules, materials, and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily field operations and job site activities
  • Ensure all safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements are followed
  • Direct and support field crews to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Review project drawings, blueprints, technical manuals, and customer specifications
  • Cook materials, tools, equipment, and personnel needed for project execution
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverable requirements
  • Assist with problem-solving and field issue resolution
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe working condition
  • Promote a positive work environment and high levels of customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of construction experience with the ability to interpret blueprints and project layouts
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of RF Technician experience
  • Completion of the New Horizons Journeyman Technician program or equivalent experience
  • Experience using RF test equipment including watt meters, spectrum analyzers, sweep equipment, and PIM testing equipment
  • Ability to lead crews and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and digital reporting tools
  • Able to understand and apply advanced construction and telecommunications methodologies

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience
  • Experience working on remote telecommunications infrastructure projects
  • Tower Climbing Certification
  • Rigging Certification
  • OSHA 30
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Radio Frequency Awareness Training
  • Medical Fitness Card

Skills

  • Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work away from home for extended periods, typically 6–8 weeks at a time
  • Ability to travel via boat, helicopter, and small aircraft when required
