Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site teams in accordance with defined schedules and procedures.
• Set and delegate daily work objectives.
• Determine and recommend improvements in methods, schedules, and procedures, as needed.
• Hire and train laborers and equipment operators.
• Confer with supervisory personnel to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, schedules, and complaints.
• Coordinate activities concerned with the operation of construction equipment.
• Ensure personnel follow all regulatory requirements and maintenance items are addressed by shop and field maintenance.
• Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
• Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with safety codes, DOT, OSHA, and MSHA, and other regulations.
• Drive and operate heavy construction equipment, as needed.
• Provide daily reporting of time, equipment, and material usage.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in Foreman role, or equivalent.
