About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman Electrician to lead electrical installations, maintenance, and repair projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership abilities, extensive technical knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision
- Oversee and manage electrical crews on commercial, industrial, and residential projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Lead, mentor, and guide journeymen and apprentices, ensuring their work adheres to quality and safety standards.
- Work closely with the General Foreman, Electrical Superintendent, and project managers to optimize workflow and ensure project milestones are met.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with company safety standards.
- Electrical Installations & Repairs
- Supervise and assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
- Proficient in working with various conduit types, including bending EMT and Rigid conduit, utilizing triple nickel and benders for diverse applications.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to ensure accurate installations and configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, ensuring systems are operational and meet safety requirements.
- Perform inspections and testing of electrical systems to verify functionality and safety compliance.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical regulations.
- Coordination & Compliance
- Coverage of project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth and timely project execution.
- Maintain an inventory of electrical materials and tools, ordering supplies as necessary to complete tasks on schedule.
- Document progress, inspections, material usage, and testing results for accurate reporting.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety on the job site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific certification required).
- 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
- Proven experience with troubleshooting, electrical installations, and repairs in commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.

- This position requires outdoor work, with exposure to various weather conditions.
- This role may occasionally require working in high, precarious places; near fumes or airborne particles; and handling toxic or caustic chemicals. There is also a risk of electrical shock and vibration in certain situations.
- The work environment noise level is usually loud.
Physical Demands
- This position may require frequent travel by motor vehicle.
- The role may involve extended hours on construction sites, necessitating physical stamina to move around the premises.
- The ability to lift and/or move materials and tools is essential, with a maximum weight limit of 50lbs. These tasks may vary and are not required to be performed daily.
Travel Requirements
A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites as needed. Travel requirements may vary based on project locations and business needs.
