Responsibilities
- Coordinates and directs the activities of Electrical craft personnel to complete construction and maintenance tasks in a timely, safe, and cost-efficient manner.
- Works under the direction of the General Foreman and/or Superintendent, supervising and directing the work of a group of craft or trade engaged in various tasks.
- Motivates members of work crew and ensures that the crew under their supervision completes their assigned tasks safely, skillfully, and efficiently, and that assigned work progresses on schedule.
- Communicates with supervisors to keep them informed on progress of work assignments and/or any new problems.
- Estimates labor, materials, and equipment needed to complete work assignments.
- Inspects and tests or supervises inspection/testing of completed work assignments of crew, checking for compliance with project drawings, specifications, and quality control procedures.
- Prepares daily reports and maintains records and files.
- Maintains inventory of material associated with assigned work.
- Recommends promotion/demotion of subordinates and identifies training needs.
Requirements
- Four (4) years of Industrial Experience supervising Electrical Craft Employees in a safe and productive manner.
- Possesses knowledge of safety procedures and has good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Develops effective work plans, giving assignments/instructions to foreman and/or work crews and supervises their work activity.
- Possesses ability to motivate subordinates under their supervision to complete their assigned tasks safely, skillfully, and efficiently, and within the project schedule.
- Deals effectively with employees and various levels of customer representatives to resolve scheduling problems, determine work priorities, and assess the relative magnitude of project requirements as they impact project scheduling.
- Attends and successfully completes Saulsbury Industries safety training education.
- Attends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management.
- Attends various training classes as may be assigned by management.
- Owns Fire Resistant Clothing (FRC).
- Can lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Can climb 30-foot ladders without resting.
- Can maintain balance on catwalks and narrow workspaces.
- Can stand for long periods of time.
- Can reach above head while sitting or standing.
- Can reach below knees while standing.
- Can stoop or kneel.
- Can work 60 or more hours each week.
- Can work at heights a minimum of 20 ft.
- Can work in awkward or confining workspaces.
- Can work in high places.
- Can work in an out-of-doors environment.
- Can work in noisy environments.
- Can work in dirty environments.
- Can work in environments with air contamination (dust, fumes, etc.).
- Can work in near or below freezing temperatures.
Safety Requirements
- Promotes an awareness of environmental, health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and ensures compliance with all accompany policies.
- Passes drug test as mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program.
- Attends and successfully completes Saulsbury Industries safety training education.
- Attends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management.
- Attends various training classes as may be assigned by management.
- Takes needed safety precautions in performing the work.
- Owns Fire Resistant Clothing (FRC).

- Ability to see things clearly that are beyond arm’s reach (far visual acuity).
- Ability to see small detail.
