Foreman/Craftworker

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate fully in Internal Mavin Company meetings
• Quarterly Meetings
• Team Development Meetings
• Administrative
• Clock in and out time accurately each pay period
• Complete expense reports when applicable
• Aid superintendent with paperwork as needed
• Pre Construction
• Participate in Kickoff Meeting if applicable
• Aid superintendent in setting up jobsite
• Dumpster locations
• Toilet locations
• Secure Temporary Utilities (power, water, sewer)
• Temporary Fencing
• Office Trailer Location
• Construction
• Maintain a safe culture and job site
• Enforce and comply with all company and project-required safety policies and procedures
• Ensure all equipment and tools are properly operating and maintained
• Ensure all appropriate PPE is available for each respective task
• Ensure jobsite is clean and organized
• General
• Supervise and participate in various construction activities as assigned
• Demolition
• Blocking
• Rough and Finish Carpentry
• Hanging Doors and Hardware
• Touch-up Paint/Sheetrock
• Punchlists
• Cleaning
• Pre Construction
• Perform basic mathematical calculations and layout for general construction activities
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications and operation guides
• Utilize a variety of hand/power tools and equipment
• Load, unload, and maneuver a variety of materials, equipment, and tools
• Instruct and direct construction and maintenance employees as required
• Aid superintendent in ensuring work is installed in accordance with contract documents and meets quality standards
• Aid superintendent in troubleshooting and proactively solving issues
• Aid superintendent in accomplishing their self-imposed punch list prior to OAC punchlist

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years construction experience
• Knowledge of at least one building trade and capable of performing that work without supervision
• Basic ability to read blueprints and specifications
• Must be a licensed driver with reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Meet the requirements to be able to drive company vehicles
• Has a general knowledge and ability to use small tools
• OSHA 30 Certification
