- Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of construction experience
- Knowledge of at least one building trade and capable of performing that work without supervision
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications
- Must be a licensed driver with reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Meet the requirements to be able to drive company vehicles
- Has general knowledge and ability to use small tools
- OSHA 30 Certification
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to climb ladders
Responsibilities
- General
- Attend and participate fully in Internal Mavin Company meetings
- Quarterly Meetings
- Team Development Meetings
- Administrative
- Clock in and out accurately each pay period
- Complete expense reports when applicable
- Assist superintendent with paperwork as requested
- Pre Construction
- Participate in Kickoff Meeting if applicable
- Set up the job site
- Secure Temporary Utilities (power, water, sewer)
- Temporary Fencing
- Office Trailer Location
- Construction
- Maintain a safe culture and job site
- Enforce and comply with all company and project-required safety policies and procedures
- Ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained and operating
- Ensure all appropriate PPE is available for each respective task
- Ensure job site is clean and organized
- Supervise and participate in various construction activities as assigned
- Perform basic mathematical calculations and layout for general construction activities
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications and operation guides
- Utilize a variety of hand/power tools and equipment
- Load, unload, and maneuver a variety of materials, equipment, and tools
- Instruct and direct construction and maintenance employees as required
- Assist superintendent in ensuring work is installed in accordance with contract documents and meets quality standards
- Aid in troubleshooting and proactively solving issues
- Aid in accomplishing self-imposed punch list prior to OAC punch list
- Additional Responsibilities/Possible Assignments
- Obtain relevant certifications if required
- Train and mentor other Mavin employees
