Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews, including carpenters and laborers.
- Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure work is completed according to project plans and specifications.
- Promote and enforce job site safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate project progress, material needs, and workforce requirements to management.
- Inspect work for quality and compliance with company standards.
- Train, mentor, and support crew members to improve performance and workmanship.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project managers to maintain project schedules.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of construction trade experience.
- Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.
- Experience working as a Carpenter and/or Laborer, with demonstrated ability to lead and supervise field crews.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA safety training or certification.
- Experience leading commercial and/or residential construction projects.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Schedule
40+ hours per week with a dynamic work schedule dependent on project status.
Working Conditions
- Personnel management role in a construction environment.
- Outdoor/construction site and office settings.
- Moderate safety risk with deadline-driven requirements.
