Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Service Foreman. MHC is an expansion of the original company, Ozark Kenworth, Inc. Ozark Kenworth started in Springfield, Missouri, in January 1975. Opening for business without a Parts or Service department and only three employees in a temporary facility. From there, the company grew and expanded. MHC is now a multi-state network of full-service diesel truck dealerships, leasing and rental operations, transport refrigeration locations, and a finance company which offers a complete array of finance and insurance services. Responsibilities
- Exercises direct supervisory responsibility assigned Service Technicians.
- Assists in diagnosis of mechanical difficulties and recommending needed repairs where applicable.
- Assists the Service Advisor in greeting customers, selling service labor, writing repair orders, and estimating the costs of repairs within set guidelines.
- Provides daily supervision and performance management of service technicians.
- Schedules and assigns work as required.
- Works with the Service Manager in managing technicians and repair scheduling to maximize work efficiency and quality of work performed.
- Works with the Service Advisor to schedule work in the shop and communicate with customers.
- Checks and reviews work in process to ensure completion is complete as scheduled to meet customer expectations.
- Works with the Service Manager in setting sales and gross profit objectives which are realistic and attainable.
- Inspects and road tests (where applicable) vehicles upon repair completion to ensure quality of repairs performed.
- Keeps the service administrative team advised of all warranty work in process.
- Assures that all necessary information pertaining to warranty and policy claims are obtained and recorded
