Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform normal and customary duties associated with operations
  • Directly supervise crew/employees
  • Attend pre-job meetings as requested
  • Communicate thoroughly with Area Manager/Area Supervisor for all jobs
  • Ensure crew starts work promptly upon clocking in
  • Ensure necessary tools and equipment are available and in good condition
  • Accurately complete documentation and daily reports and submit in a timely manner
  • Hold weekly safety meetings for all subordinates
  • Ensure work quality meets or exceeds customer or company standards
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
  • Document and address complaints and grievances with employees
  • Record employee time, equipment usage, production quantities, materials, and job notes accurately
  • Maintain assigned equipment in good working order and perform field repairs as needed
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance with Area Manager/Area Supervisor and report breakdowns and required repairs
  • Train and mentor employees on the crew
  • Maintain neat and secure work areas
  • Communicate with homeowners, business owners, and job inspectors
  • Follow and administer company safety program
  • Communicate problems/concerns to Area Manager/Area Supervisor
  • Communicate and handle customer complaints to resolution
  • Cooperate with job inspector, Area Manager/Area Supervisor, Support Services Group, and Safety Manager

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Foreman experience preferred
  • English required, Spanish preferred
  • Good basic math, reading, and writing skills
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and precision work skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills (three years minimum experience in a leadership role)
  • Five years previous related construction experience
  • Ability to share expertise and build knowledge/skills

Qualifications

  • Dependable and able to perform physically demanding work
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing
  • Able to lift up to 100 pounds daily and continuously
  • Current driver’s license with no restrictions
  • Willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with safety regulations
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Willingness to travel as determined by customer contracts
