About the Role

Lead and supervise a team of electricians and electrical technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other members of leadership to ensure the successful execution of electrical projects while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of electricians and electrical technicians, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is performed efficiently and effectively. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance skills and productivity.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to coordinate electrical work activities with the overall project schedule. Ensure proper sequencing of tasks and timely completion of electrical installations.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and equipment. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Enforce and promote adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the job site. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and toolbox talks to address potential hazards and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify the accuracy, completeness, and quality of electrical installations. Identify and address deficiencies or deviations from project requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution. Monitor inventory levels and communicate material requirements to procurement or project management teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members regarding electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repair techniques. Resolve technical queries to ensure successful completion of tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work progress, material usage, and labor hours. Prepare daily reports, time sheets, and other project-related documentation as required.
  • Interface with clients, project managers, and stakeholders regarding project progress, requirements, and issues. Provide updates on electrical work status and address client concerns.
  • Stay updated with advancements in electrical technologies, codes, and industry best practices. Attend training sessions, workshops, and industry conferences to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training in electrical systems is preferred).
  • Relevant certification as an electrician or electrical technician.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Foreman or in a similar supervisory role in the construction industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in field construction management.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Understanding of construction practices and safety protocols.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of procurement and subcontractor management.
  • Understanding of construction industry regulations and best practices.

Physical & Cognitive Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 60lbs regularly.
  • Must be able to traverse in all weather conditions and work in extreme temperatures.
  • Position requires the ability to stand, squat, and reach.
  • Must be able to stand and walk continuously through shift.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to exercise precaution in the handling of tools and equipment.
  • May be exposed to dust, fumes, and odoriferous working conditions.
  • Crouch, kneel, bend, or stand for long periods of time.
  • Be subject to motor or machine noise.
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.

Schedule

Position requires extended hours, which will vary depending on job and site requirements. Each job will require specific hours of operation. May need to work weekends if business needs require.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience and paid weekly.
