Responsibilities
- Ensure / Audit Field Progress Reports to ensure accuracy
- Certified to run and able to train employees on typical equipment found on large jobs, including lull, skid steer loaders, aerial equipment such as man lifts, Boom lifts, etc.
- Qualified to operate a 35-ton crane is a plus
- Communicate any problems with fieldwork to the Field Superintendent and assist in resolving those problems
- Communicate with the Field Superintendent regarding job schedules and performance issues that may arise
- Ensure that all HMT safety policies and procedures are being followed
- Assist with the maintenance of HMT owned equipment as needed
- Assist the Field Superintendent in identifying scope of work changes
- Cookordinate communication among your team members, the customer, and subcontractors as needed
- Absure that all QA/QC policies and procedures are being followed
- Assist with the training of employees as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in the AST (Above Ground Storage Tank industry)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in API 650/653 repair and maintenance
- 3+ years of Supervisory experience in construction and/or industrial environments
- Must be able to weld in all positions with SMAW, FCAW, and SAW
- Detail-oriented, Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to complete all required paperwork associated with safety and QA/QC without assistance
- Ability to interpret field and fabrication drawings
- Must be DOT OQ qualified
- Must have a 3-year clean driver record
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle a broad scope of responsibility
- Thorough understanding of construction scheduling and cost control; comprehensive knowledge of company policies, procedures, and standards
- Sound communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills
- Able to give clear and concise instructions to multiple employees in the execution of work
- Must have experience managing multiple crews/ job sites
- Must be willing to travel for long periods of time
Physical requirements
- Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, climbing, carrying, pushing/pulling and using repetitive wrist and hand movements
- Lift and/or move objects of up to 50 pounds
- Requires hearing and seeing ability of rapid mental coordination
Work environment
- Variety of locations within the U.S.
- May be subject to extreme temperatures, working in high places, etc.
- Potential for exposure to temperature changes, wetness, confined spaces, fumes/odors, working with ladder/scaffolds, working with pressurized equipment, high places, hazardous materials, and working alone
