Foreman

About the role

The Plant Foreman position at Amrize requires hands-on involvement in leadership and responsibility for overseeing daily plant operations, ensuring a safe work environment, coordinating crews, and supporting maintenance activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong working knowledge of plant processes, material gradation, equipment operation, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming crews and assign equipment effectively
• Conduct safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices
• Complete and update Field Risk Assessments (FRAs) as needed
• Lead crusher liner change-outs and maintenance activities
• Perform belt splicing and repairs
• Replace bearings and gearboxes as required
• Safely operate welding and cutting equipment (torch and welder)
• Change and maintain screen decks, including confined space entry when necessary
• Collaborate with safety personnel to ensure full compliance with regulations
• Maintain working knowledge of MSHA rules and standards
• Keep accurate and up-to-date maintenance records
• Coincide with management to order parts and materials
• Proactively identify potential equipment failures and address issues early
• Work closely with management and maintenance teams to support continuous plant operations
• Operate mobile equipment as needed (loaders, dozers, excavators, haul trucks)
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas
• Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors

Requirements

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Previous experience in this role or a similar position
• Strong understanding of plant processes and operations
• Thorough knowledge of equipment operation with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency
• Able to communicate instructions clearly and effectively to employees
• Solid understanding of company safety policies and procedures

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators
