Foreman A | CDL Required

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is seeking a CDL Foreman | Foreperson to supervise crews providing line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide crew supervision and line clearing/tree trimming services
• Direct pruning of treetops, repair damaged trees through trimming or removal, and remove broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects
• Plan and execute assigned work and tasks, directing crew members and equipment
• Supervise and assist in the proper maintenance, preparation, and operation of tools and equipment, including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
• Operate as part of a crew with supporting Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber
• Perform all required job functions as listed above

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Commercial driver’s license with airbrake endorsement (required)
• Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience (required)
• Pesticide license (if required by state law)
• Herbicide license (a plus)
• Line clearance certification (if working near utility transmission lines)
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain
