Arvato is seeking a detail-oriented and organized FTZ Compliance Specialist to support our Foreign-Trade Zone operations. This role ensures compliance with FTZ regulations and partners closely with internal teams and warehouse personnel to maintain accurate reporting and inventory control. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of FTZ processes, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file daily admission forms (pre 214 & concurrence)
- Complete and submit required Customs forms 3461, 7501, and 7512
- Coordinate in-bond movements from port and arrival of in-bonds
- Collaborate with internal teams and systems to manage inbound & outbound products
- Monitor inventory and ensure proper reporting
- Assist in troubleshooting discrepancies and report as necessary
- Build and maintain relationships with FTZ/warehouse personnel to ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Conduct compliance and FTZ training for employees
- Assist Manager in working with U.S. Customs during on-site audits
- Assist Manager in preparation of annual reports to U.S. Customs & the FTZ Board
- Validate FTZ data against actual documentation to ensure accuracy of integration and information
- Conduct reviews of transactions and processes and make recommendations on improvements
- Routinely update and report to direct management concerning activities related to the Foreign-Trade Zone
- Process and verify FTZ-related data and maintain proper record-keeping required for management of the FTZ
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in FTZ operations, import/export compliance, or customs brokerage
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, 19 CFR Part 146, and FTZ procedures
- Experience with FTZ software (e.g., SAP GTS, QAD, or similar) preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across cross-functional teams
- Customs Specialist or related certification (e.g., LCB, CCS) is preferred
