Foreign-Trade Zone Coordinator

About the role

The Foreign-Trade Zone Coordinator will be part of the Fort Mill team, working as a hybrid employee. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting compliance in opening and managing FTZs for imports and exports.
• Managing and processing daily FTZ Admissions (CF214) and weekly filings (3461, 7501).
• Maintaining accurate records of product movements into and out of the FTZ.
• Retrieving, printing, and distributing shipping documents.
• Maintaining and retaining FTZ files and records in accordance with Customs law.
• Maintaining and updating the Operations Manual and exhibiting.
• Monitoring FTZ savings and providing annual FTZ reports.
• Acting as liaison with other functional areas to ensure accurate FTZ reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

As a Foreign-Trade Zone Coordinator, you'll be responsible for:

• Day-to-day operations of SBD FTZs.
• Supporting compliance in opening and managing FTZs for imports and exports.
• Supporting receiving and inventory control, understanding manufacturing (inverted tariffs), and domestic and export shipping.
• Processing daily FTZ Admissions (CF214) and weekly filings (3461, 7501).
• Maintaining accurate records of product movements into and out of the FTZ.
• Retrieving, printing, and distributing shipping documents.
• Maintaining and retaining FTZ files and records in accordance with Customs law.
• Maintaining and updating the Operations Manual and exhibiting.
• Monitoring FTZ savings and providing annual FTZ reports.
• Acting as liaison with other functional areas to ensure accurate FTZ reporting and compliance.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of trade compliance experience, or 5 years FTZ administration experience and/or Licensed Customs Broker credentials.
• Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Advanced aptitude for working across multiple systems (SAP, One Source/Integration Point FTZ Platform, and WMS.net).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a process-oriented approach.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven team player who can work independently and consistently achieve commitments.
• Familiarity with distribution, transportation, warehousing, and manufacturing operations.
• Ability to travel to necessary sites for training and on-site meetings (approximately 10%).

To qualify for this role, you should:

• Have knowledge of Foreign Trade Zones Board regulations, Customs regulations, and how they apply to FTZ operations.
• Be aware of all aspects of operating a zone.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $51,700.00 - $83,300.00. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and in compliance with local wage requirements.

The Foreign-Trade Zone Coordinator will work as a hybrid employee, combining remote and in-office work.
