About the role

The successful candidate will meet and instruct assigned classes in designated locations and times. They will plan a curriculum that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.

Responsibilities

  • Creates a classroom environment that supports learning and aligns with the students' maturity and interests.
  • Plans and implements a program of study that addresses the district's curriculum goals.
  • Communicates clear objectives to students and evaluates their progress regularly.
  • Uses various instructional techniques and media to enhance learning.
  • Strives to implement the district's educational philosophy and performance expectations.
  • Assesses student achievements and provides progress reports as required.
  • Maintains accurate records and participates in professional development.
  • Contributes to the evaluation process and attends meetings to promote communication and mutual decision-making.
  • Attends school-sponsored activities and contributes to decisions regarding budget, facilities, and curriculum.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and follows the school's code of conduct.

Requirements

  • Highly qualified with required competency in the content area.
  • Appropriate content/program area educator license (Foreign Language) and grade level (PreK-6 or 5-12) from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with appropriate license; Master’s Degree with appropriate content area license preferred and/or expected within 5 years.
