Forecast & Analysis Consultant
The Forecast & Analysis Consultant is responsible for coordinating and managing all reporting, analysis, and forecasting processes. This role focuses on developing and maintaining 6–36-month demand and workforce forecasts for FEP operations, partnering closely with the Workforce Management (WFM) team, Operations, Comprehensive Health Management, and the Data & Reporting Analytics team.
Responsibilities
- Build predictive and scenario-based models to assess demand variability and risk.
- Maintain and refine models using variance analysis.
- Translate volume forecasts into headcount, FTE, and skill-mix requirements.
- Partner within WFM to align long-range forecasts with short-term scheduling and intraday management.
- Support hiring, backfill, cross-training, and redeployment strategies.
- Ensure quality and integrity of data collected and insights shared with the business.
- Provide expertise to lower-level consultants on the analysis of business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic initiatives, growth planning, and operational changes.
- Quantify workforce impacts of new programs, regulatory changes, or benefit design shifts.
- Manage ROI Analysis of initiatives impacting workflow and productivity.
- Present forecasts, assumptions, and risks to operational and executive leadership.
- Create clear, executive-level summaries and consult on dashboard development.
- Serve as liaison for the FEP WFM forecast processes and the annual operating plan.
- Ensure forecasting methodologies are aligned with business targets and operating plans are consistent with corporate objectives.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in business or related field; a minimum of 5 years of experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Experience with Workforce management tools (e.g., NICE, Verint, Aspect, or similar), BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), SQL, Python, or R preferred.
- Knowledge of the health care industry preferred.
