Ford Certified Service Technician (Mechanic)

Cavender Auto Family, a trusted automotive group, seeks a Ford Certified Service Technician to join their team at Cavender Confidence Ford of Norman. Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Execute any other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a service technician required.
• Strong automotive background.
• Manufacture ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test. Valid driver's license.
