Job Responsibilities

• Deliver food items to guests' tables as ordered and within the appropriate time limits (hot food hot, cold food cold), describing each food item when placing them in front of the guests using seat position numbers.
• Greet all guests in a warm, personal, friendly manner.
• Check that each plate is wiped and correctly garnished prior to leaving the kitchen. Accountable for all plates leaving the kitchen window.
• Check for proper condiments and utensils when approaching the table to deliver food.
• Aid guests with any requests or concerns and take action to correct any problems.
• Aid service team as needed by removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters throughout guests' meal, and take them to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Keep the food line and runner stations clean, regularly checking floor for debris.
• Stock service areas with supplies such as plates, utensils, pizza boxes, condiments, and to-go items throughout service period.
• Maintain awareness of current availability of food items throughout service period and communicate effectively with management and service team.

Qualifications

• Customer Oriented – Ability to take care of the guests’ needs while following Monkeypod Kitchen procedures.

• Safety – Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety as well as safely operate and handle all required equipment, appliances, and tools. Must follow all safety policies and procedures.

• Communication – Ability to communicate by speaking, effectively and clearly with guests, coworkers, and management. Ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of others.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to do the following constantly: stand, walk, lift/carry 11-20 lbs
• Must be able to do the following frequently: use hands/fingers, reach outward, climb (stairs), bend, push/pull 10-25 lbs
• Must be able to do the following occasionally: reach above shoulder, squat or kneel, lift/carry 21-50 lbs, push/pull 26-40 lbs
