About the role

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food and Nutrition Services seeks a Food Worker II under general supervision. The position is responsible for set-up and preparation of food, with training and directional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare food according to recipes and guidelines
• Ensure food safety and quality standards are met
• Supervise other Food Workers I as needed
• Perform cleaning and sanitizing duties as necessary

Requirements

• One year experience as a Food Worker I or equivalent outside experience in quantity food preparation/service supervision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Skills

• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
