FOOD UNIT LEAD (FULL TIME)

About the role

Morrison Healthcare is hiring immediate full-time FOOD UNIT LEAD positions at Baptist Desoto. The position is located at 7601 Southcrest Parkway, Southaven, MS 38671. Online applications are accepted only. The schedule is full-time with rotating weekends required. The pay range is $17.00 to $18.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service by attending to customers' needs individually.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverages according to company standards.
• Helps plan menus and ensures timely, efficient meal service.
• Serves as a point of contact for customer complaints, addressing them in person and via email.
• Trains employees and assigns tasks to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
• Determines work procedures, prepares schedules, and manages workflow.
• Completes required reports such as inventory-cash reports, production records, payroll, and time-keeping.
• Manages cash handling as per the Food Accounting Manual.
• Orders food and supplies from approved sources or purveyors.
• Ensures proper sanitation and safety of the facility and employees.
• Develops and enforces a sanitation schedule and monitors compliance.
• Issues written and oral instructions to employees.
• Selects and trains new employees.

Qualifications

Prior leadership and food service experience is required.
