About the role

Pen Bay Hospital Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Services Team Member to join our team. As a Food Services Team Member, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our patients' experience by delivering nourishing, healthy, and delicious meals according to diet orders and menu selections. Pen Bay Hospital is a not‑for‑profit, Top Rural, Leapfrog Hospital Safety Score Graded and the largest community hospital in Midcoast Maine.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, delivering, and retrieving patient meal trays
• Washing, rinsing, and storing dishes
• Performing limited food preparation tasks
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Previous experience in food service or healthcare settings is a plus but not required
• Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) preferred

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $18.00 to $20.70 per hour. Compensation for part‑time positions is prorated based on scheduled hours and full‑time equivalent (FTE).

Schedule

This is a full‑time position requiring 40 hours per week on evening shifts.
