Food Services Cashier - PRN

Position Purpose

The Food Service Cashier accurately and rapidly ring meals on the cash register, while demonstrating good customer service for the Food & Nutrition Department. As a “Food Service Cashier” You Will Assist in collecting money for food sold in the cafeteria.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting money for food sold in the cafeteria.
• Prepare and display food for sale in the cafeteria.
• Maintain sanitation of all equipment within the cafeteria.
• Restock all retail items as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of work-related experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to add and subtract numbers.
• Ability to handle patron complaints with respect.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.42
• Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
• Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
• The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
