About the role
The Food Services Associate I supports food service operations, assists with tasks, and ensures quality service and problem resolution. The Food Services Associate I Communication commonly occurs with persons who have similar or different functions inside or outside the organization. Work involves application of basic knowledge and advanced skills or patient care. Duties may be complex and non-routine. Resolves most issues and problems but refers the most complex issues and problems to supervisor. Under general supervision. Impact of work is limited to department or service line. Extensive customer, patient, client, and clinical team interactions.
This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of $2,000 and is deemed 'emergency staff' during emergency weather conditions. May be required to travel to other Carilion work sites to meet staffing needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- SERV-Safe Certification or equivalent certification from the Virginia Health Department or the ability to obtain certification within one year of hire date required for employees deemed in charge of departmental operations
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
Qualifications
None required for experience. Position is considered full time with a day shift.
Pay
Compensation Range $16.18 - $22.65. Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
