Food Service Worker - Rock Eagle - Temporary
About the role
The University of Georgia is seeking a temporary Food Service Worker to join the team at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. This position involves preparing and serving food and cleaning food service areas.
Responsibilities
- Serve food at the dining hall; set up buffet lines and serve individual plates; interact with customers from young children to senior citizens. (35%)
- Clean and sanitize the work area, operate a commercial dishwasher; clean chairs, tables, and service lines; sweep and mop floors; clean windows, baseboards, blinds; walkways and walls of food service building. (35%)
- Aid cooks in preparing and cooking food; assist with preparation of menu items. (20%)
- Perform other tasks as assigned. (10%)
Requirements
- Some experience in kitchen work.
Qualifications
- Skilled in reading, writing, and simple math.
- Ability to follow written and oral directions.
Physical Demands
- Lifting food items, up to 25 pounds, and prolonged standing for food preparation.
- Driving.
