Food Service Worker (Part-Time)

About the role

This position is located in the Nutrition and Food Service of the VA Providence Healthcare System. It is a permanent Food Service Worker – part‑time position at 20 hours per week, filled using Direct‑Hire Authority (5 CFR 337.205(b)(1)-(4)). This open & continuous announcement establishes a standing register of eligible applicants. The position description title/PD# is Food Service Worker 99920S. It is a bargaining unit position in the competitive service, covered by locality‑based comparability pay. Selectees may be required to work at any VA Providence Healthcare System campus as needed. Current and former Federal employees must submit copies of their most recent SF‑50 showing position title, series, grade, step, tenure and type of service. The OCA closes on 30 September 2026; the initial cut‑off for referral is on or about 4 June 2026, with subsequent reviews every other week as vacancies occur.
