Food Service Worker - Part Time

About the role

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Food Service Worker to quickly and efficiently provide excellent customer service to patients and their families. As a member of the nutrition team, you will play a critical role in ensuring patients receive the nutrition they need for healing.

Responsibilities

• Handle, prepare, and serve food in accordance with the written menu and sanitation regulations.
• Prepare cafeteria food service and deliver food to customers.
• Restock cafeteria supplies.
• Maintain sanitation of work areas, dishes, and equipment.
• Maintain inventory control, product rotation, labeling, and safe food handling practices to assure continued availability.
• Assist with cashier and dishwasher responsibilities as necessary.
• Perform various roles within Nutrition such as Food Runner, Tray Line, Food Prep, Dishwasher, Store Room, and more.

Requirements

• Applicable experience: less than 1 year.
• Food Handler’s Permit.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Strong teamwork orientation and excellent customer service skills.

Pay

Minimum starting rate of $17.50 per hour with a weekend shift differential.

Schedule

Part‑time evenings, 20 hours per week. Shifts are 4:00 pm – 8:15 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
