Food Service Worker - Part Time

Saint Luke’s North - Smithville Campus is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker to provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.

About the role

As part of the Nutrition Department, you’ll contribute to patient care in a non-medical capacity, playing a key role in the recovery and healing process by delivering quality, nutritious meals. This position offers the opportunity to bring positivity to patients’ days and grow within the health system.

Responsibilities

• Handle, prepare, and serve food in accordance with written menus and sanitation regulations.
• Prepare cafeteria food and deliver meals to customers.
• Restock cafeteria supplies and maintain inventory control, product rotation, labeling, and safe food handling practices.
• Maintain sanitation of work areas, dishes, and equipment.
• Assist with cashier and dishwasher responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to work, flexibility, and ability to work independently.
• Eagerness to learn and comfort asking questions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work as part of a team.

Schedule

• Part-time, 24 hours per week.
• Shift: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, including rotating weekends.
