Food Service Worker, Part Time

About the role
The Food Service Worker position is responsible for a variety of activities involved in the preparation, processing, presentation, and delivery of food for the organization. This is a Part Time position with rotating shifts and working every other weekend. As a food service worker you will be trained to work in each station within the cafeteria, kitchen and dish room.
Responsibilities
- Delivers meals, supplies, and equipment to other departments of the hospital
- Prepares the dish room for washing service ware
- Assembles all items needed to run room service
- Serves patient breakfast, lunch and dinner meals
- Cleans work station after meals served
- Retrieves patient meal carts, disassembles, washes dishes, and restocks
- Completes shift end cleaning assignments, checks out with supervisor
Requirements
- Some prior food service experience is preferred
- Must possess the ability to read and write; basic math skills are helpful
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend and stoop, sort and pick up repetitively dishes and silverware
- Must be able to work quickly with both hands
- Must be able to read tray ticket while on Room Service Line
