Food Service Worker – Oregon State Hospital, Junction City Campus – 2 positions
About the role
The Food Service Worker performs a variety of food service activities in a state youth or adult institution. Service activities include setting-up condiments and panning food, food portioning, preparing food trays, serving on food lines, clearing, and cleaning dining and serving areas, putting away stock and kitchenettes, and washing dishes, pots, and pans in a volume dining or food service facility. Employees ensure the various dietary needs of clients, patients, and students are met to adhere to specific nutritional requirements and dietary needs. Employees monitor and review prescribed dietary orders. Follows portion control guidelines.

Requirements
- Six months of experience in customer or food service
- Valid Oregon Driver’s license
Qualifications
- Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of appointment OR completion of the Lane County Advanced Food Management Principles and Concepts Training, including HACCP Certification, at the time of appointment
Skills
- Able to speak, write, understand, and follow written & verbal instructions in English
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to work during inclement weather
- Effectively operate standard food service equipment
- Able to work hours that are subject to change with little notice; may be required to work hours that exceed the regular schedule

This announcement is for two full-time, permanent, SEIU represented Food Service Workers based in Junction City, Oregon.
