About the role

Responsibilities
- Assisting cooks and other kitchen personnel in tasks such as cleaning/preparing/serving foods, washing dishes, serving from a serving line, cleaning tables, and sweeping floors.
- Engaging in limited supervision over subordinate food service workers engaged in serving foods, cleaning facilities, and preparing serving line meals.
- Maintaining neatness and cleanliness in food preparation and serving, ensuring patrons are served in a pleasant and courteous manner.
- Using and performing maintenance on food service equipment including meat slicer, mixing machine, and steam cookers.
- Performing related work as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in similar positions preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
- Willingness to work long hours standing and potentially working weekends and evenings.
Qualifications
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to supervise employees in routine food service tasks.
- Knowledge of food preparation and service hazards and necessary precautions.
- Physical demands include moving up to 50 lbs, reaching, climbing, balancing, crouching, twisting, crawling, kneeling, and working in noisy, hot/cold environments with chemicals, cleaning equipment, dust, fumes, and odors.
