About the role

The Food Service Worker II plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and hygienic preparation and delivery of food products within a retail trade environment. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and customer service to enhance the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food items in accordance with company standards and health regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and service areas, including equipment and utensils.
• Aid in receiving, storing, and rotating food inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Provide courteous and efficient customer service, addressing customer inquiries and requests promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely food production and delivery during peak hours.
• Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents to management immediately.
• Assist in training new staff members on food preparation and safety procedures as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in food service or a related field preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in food handling or food safety (e.g., ServSafe).
• Experience working in a retail food service setting.
• Familiarity with inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
