Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- To serve food to a cafeteria tray line
- To prepare food in a kitchen
- To perform cleaning activities
- To assist in the effective overall operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Program at different kitchen locations as needed
- To prepare food items
- To prepare food carts
- To set food in steam tables
- To serve food
- To clean and sanitize all food service areas and equipment
- To maintain and order supplies as needed
- To unloading and putting away stock
- To take and document temperatures
- To prepare for next shift
- To wash dishes as needed
- To perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is desirable
- Basic math skills
- The ability to read and write the English language
- To demonstrate knowledge of food safety basics
- To have the ability to lift 20-50 pounds
- To have the ability to stand up to 4 hours
- To have the knowledge of portion sizes
- To work with others
